Inaugural Address
Since 1868, eminent doctors from universities across the UK have officially opened the Session by delivering the Inaugural Address on their specialist subject. This is also the occasion of the swearing in of the year’s Senior President.
Last year, we were delighted to welcome Professor Lorna Marson, Consultant Renal Transplant Surgeon and President of the British Transplantation Society, to give our Inaugural Address on the history of the Royal Medical Society.
This year’s Inaugural Address will be delivered by Doctor Paul Brennan and Doctor Edward Duvall on Tuesday 24th September 2019 at 7.30pm. The talk will be followed by a wine and cheese reception and both members and non-members are warmly invited.
